Day 01 Chennai

Arrive into Chennai
Welcome to Vardhman's "Exotic South India". On arrival in Chennai, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02 Chennai
This morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Chennai.
Visit museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery. (Closed on Fridays and Public holidays). Drive through the Flower and Fruit market, High court, Fort Museum, Marina Beach, San Thome Cathedral and Snake Park.Overnight :Hotel

Day 03 Chennai -Mahabalipuram & Kanchipuram -Trichy
Today morning leave for Kanchipuram (64kms from Chennai (Madras)), this was the capital of the Pallava dynasty and has about 1000 temples and many of them are in use to this day. Some important temples include Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy. Knachipuram is well known for its silks. The travel to the city of Mahabalipuram is famous for its rock cut temples and the Seashore temple these are excellent examples of Dravidian Style of Architecture.
In the evening transfer to the railway station to catch train for Trichy.

Day 04 Trichy
On arrival Trichy, transfer to the hotel. Later visit Lord Robert Clive's house and visit the Rock Fort Temple that has 434 steps to the Lord Ganapathy temple on the top and you can climb further to the Shiva temple.

Day 05 Trichy - Tanjore- Madurai
This morning after breakfast drive to Madurai enroute visit Tanjore.
Tanjore
Visit the Brihadeeshwara temple, which is an example of the excellent Chola architecture. Tanjore is famous for its bronzes and handicrafts as well.
Upon arrival at Madurai check into your hotel.

Day 06 Madurai
After breakfast visit the famous Meenakshi Temple, Tirumala Nayak Palace, the Alagar Hills and Tirupara Kundran Rock temple. Evening witness Prayer Ceremony at the Meenakshi Temple.

Day 07 Madurai - Periyar
This morning after breakfast drive to Periyar. Upon arrival at Periyar check into your hotel.
Later visit Periyar wildlife sanctuary is home to nomadic tribes of wild elephant, boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and more. Evening go for boat cruise in the lake to watch wild animals.

Day 08 Periyar - Cochin
On the day 8 of your tour drive to Cochin. Upon arrival at Cochin check into your hotel.

Day 09 Cochin
This morning after breakfast proceed on a sightseeing of Cochin.
Visit the Jewish Synagogue, Portuguese Churches, Dutch Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets, Gunda and Willington Islands, Kerala History Museum, Hill Palace Museum, Parishath Taamburan Museum,Santacruz Cathedral (Basilica),Spice Market, etc.

Day 10 Cochin - Bangalore - Mysore
This morning after breakfast transfer to the Cochin airport to catch flight for Bangalore. On arrival at Bangalore Airport, met and transfer to the Mysore.
Upon arrival at Mysore check into your hotel.

Day 11 Mysore
After breakfast proceed on a city tour of Mysore.
Visit the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12. The palace is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and Saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent. Visit the Art Gallery; drive upto Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple that offers a panoramic view of Mysore. On the way back, see the Nandi Bull. Later visit the Somanth temple, Mysore Zoo evening proceed to Brindavan garden to visit lighting show.

Day 12 Mysore -Belur-Halebid
This morning after breakfast drive to Halebid enroute visit Belur.
Visit the famous temples of Belur and Halebid built by the Hoysala dynasty. The Chennakesava temple in Belur and Hoysaleswara temple at Halebid are exquisite examples of Hoysala architecture. On the way back visit Sravanabelagola that has a monolith of Lord Gomateshwara, which is visible from a distance of 25kms. Upon arrival at Halebid check into your hotel.

Day 13 Halebid- Hampi- Hospet
After breakfast drive to Hospet and visit Hampi. Hampi was the capital of the famous Vijayanagar Empire that was well known world over for its palaces, temples and sculptures. This city was burnt down by the Sultanates of the South. Visit the remains of the Virupaksha temple, Vittala temple and Hazara Rama temple, the huge and imposing sculptures of Ganesha and Narasimha, the Queen's Bath, Ramachandra temple and Lotus Mahal.Upon arrival at Hospet check into your hotel.

Day 14 Hospet - Badami
In the morning drive to Badami enroute visit Aihole and Pattadakal.
Aihole is heart of the stone temple architecture and is the most important center of the Dravidian School of Architecture. There are about 70 temples here the oldest is the Lad Khan built in the 5th century AD. The Ravanaphadi Cave has some fine carvings. Pattadakal reached its zenith during the reign of the Chalukya kings between the 7th-9th centuries. Visit the Sanghameswara temple and the Mallikarjuna Temple, Virupaksha temple and Papanatha temple. Upon arrival at Badami check into your hotel.

Day 15 Badami
Today after breakfast visit the Badami caves
Badami is also known as Vatapi has richly carved Hindu and Jain temples made out of sand stone. Visit the Fort on top of the hill and the Malegitti Shivalaya on top of another hill.

Day 16 Badami - Goa
This morning after breakfast drive to Goa. Upon arrival at Goa check into your hotel.

Day 17 Goa
This morning after breakfast proceed on a city tour of North & South Goa.
Visit Bascilica of Bom Jesus, Dona Paula, Miramar beach and Panaji city.Later visit Fishing village : Fishing villages are part of Goa's rich cultural heritage. Local Goan fishing village is created on the grounds of the hotel, forming a perfect backdrop for a charming evening in a very rustic atmosphere. Artisans display their skills whilst the village dancers whirl to the music of a local band
