Day 01 Mumbai
Begin your tour.
Arrive into Mumbai
Welcome to Vardhman's " Southern Splendour Tour ". On arrival
in Mumbai you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative
to your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02: Mumbai
On the day 2nd of your tour proceed on a city tour of Mumbai.
Visit the Gateway of India,The stone archway designed by Wittett in the
16th century Gujarati style, Prince of Whales Museum & Elephanta Caves
9 kms by sea. These 7th century rock cut cave temples dedicated
to Lord Shiva are situated a top a hill on the island. In the evening
make your way through the various sets of a typical film studio. From
a place to the village square. See men with cameras mounted on cranes
shooting sequences, inviting your tour of Film city's electrifying ambience
while dining on delicacies that are no less interesting than the 'masala'
(spice ) of Indian movies.

Day 03: Mumbai - Bangalore (By flight)
After leisurely breakfast, transfer to the Mumbai airport to catch
flight for Bangalore. Upon arrival at Bangalore check into yoru hotel.
Latre proceed on a city tour of Bangalore.
Visit Lal bagh Garden, lake & lotus filled pools., Cubbon park,
Bull temple and Mysore arts and crafts centre.
Viswesvaraya Industrial and Technological museum, Ganesh temple, Gandhi
Bhavan, Ulsoor Tank , Gavipuram Cave Temple, St. Mary's Basilica Church,Vidhan
Soudha.

Day 04: Bangalore - Mysore
Today drive to Mysore. On arrival in Mysore check into the hotel.
Later proceed on a city tour of Mysore.
Visit the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12. The palace is of
harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and Saracenic styles of architecture
with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent.
Visit the Art Gallery; drive upto Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari
Temple that offers a panoramic view of Mysore. On the way back, see
the Nandi Bull. Later visit the Somanth temple, Mysore Zoo evening proceed
to Brindavan garden to visit lighting show.

Day 05: Mysore - Ooty
After breakfast, depart for Ooty by road (165 kms / 4 hrs). On your
arrival in Ooty check into the hotel of your choice. Fondly known as
the 'Queen of Hill Stations', Ooty is snugly ensconced in the heart
of the Nilgiris. Dotted with undulating hills, sparkling waterfalls,
gurgling brooks and lush green tea gardens, this tranquil haven is sure
to capture the hearts of every visitor.

Day 06: Ooty
This morning after breakfast proceed on a city tour of Ooty.
Visit the lake, Botanical Gardens, Conoor Tea Gardens, Sims Park,
Dolphins Nose. Later visit Film shooting points & other points
of interest or shopping etc.

Day 07: Ooty - Cochin
After breakfast drive to Cochin, " THE QUEEN OF ARABIAN SEA
" is the palm green commercial capital of Kerala.
Upon arrival at Cochin check into your hotel.Relax for the rest of day.

Day 08: Cochin
This morning after breakfast proceed on a sightseeing of Cochin.
Visit Dutch Palace at Mattancherry is renowned for its wall murals depicting
scenes from the Ramayana. The Jewish Synagogue at the heart of what
is locally called the Jew Town. The St. Francis Church, the oldest European
church in India. The Santa Cruz Basilica, originally built in 1557 by
the Portuguese. The Chinese fishing nets are huge cantilevered fishing
nets believed to have brought to Kochi by Chinese traders. Finally,
the Willingdon Island, named after Lord Willingdon, is the headquarters
of the Southern Naval Command of India.

Day 09: Cochin - Kumarakom
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. Upon arrival at Kumarakom check
into your hotel. Later Visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and have fun getting
close encounters with various birds.

Day 10: Kuamarakom - Houseboat
Today morning board the houseboat (Kettuvalam) and spend the day
cruising through the backwaters. The backwaters of Kerala are a unique
product of Kerala and are found nowhere else in the world. Kumarakom
Backwaters too are a network of lakes, canals and estuaries and deltas
of forty-four rivers that drain into the Arabian Sea. The backwaters
of Kerala are a self supporting Eco-system teeming with aquatic life.
The canals connect the villages together and are still used for local
transport. Over 900 km of this labyrinthine water world is navigable.
Cruise through the backwaters to Alleppey. Kumarakom backwaters are
there to silently embark the beauty signals spotted by the God of Nature.

Day 11: Alleppy - Periyar
After breakfast, disembark the houseboat in Alleppey and depart
for Periyar. The Periyar Wildlife sanctuary is one of the best maintained
wildlife sanctuaries in Southern India, giving an opportunity of spotting
elephants, leopards, tigers and bisons, amongst various other species
of Flora and Fauna. On your arrival in Periyar check into Hotel.

Day 12:Periyar
Early morning boat ride on Periyar lake to watch wildlife. After
breakfast proceed on a short jungle trek with a naturalist to watch
flora, fauna and avifauna.

Day 13: Periyar - Madurai
This morning after breakfast drive to Madurai. The city is known
for its rich heritage, culture and historical background and is most
famous for the Meenakshi Temple.
Upon arrival at Madurai check into your hotel.
Evening witness temple ceremony at Meenakshi Temple.

Day 14: Madurai - Chennai
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Madurai
Visit The Shree Meenakshi Temple, the Teppa Kulum -- a tank with an
island temple and Tirumalainaik Palace.
In time transfer to the Madurai airport to catch flight for Chennai.
Upon arrival at Chennai check into your hotel.

Day 15: Chennai- Mahabalipuram- Kanchipuram- Chennai
Today full day for Excursion of Kanchipuram & Mahabalipuram
Kanchipuram
Kanchipuram (70 kms from Chennai (Madras)) is the ancient capital of
the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines.
The first temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century
& has paintings on the walls. Temples of Ekambareswara, Kailasanatha,
Sri Kamakshi and VaradaRaja swamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also
famous for its silks.
Later visit Mahabalipuram
Mahabalipuram is (75Kms from Kanchipuram) famous for the 7th Century
Temples. Here on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock
hewn temples which are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture.
Evening drive back to Chennai.

Day 16: Depart Chennai
This morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Chennai
Visit Fort St. George, San Thome Cathedral and the museum to see the
Art and Bronze Gallery. (Closed on Fridays and Public holidays). High
court, Marina Beach, San Thome Cathedral and Snake Park..
In time transfer to the airport/railway station to catch flight/train
for your onward destination with sweet and unforgettable memories of
